We were delighted to visit Queen's Park Primary School to explore how climate change is affecting St Helens.
The students showed an impressive understanding of climate change and produced fantastic drawings that explained the enhanced greenhouse effect. They also shared local impacts they have noticed across the Borough, including storm events and flooding. We spoke with them about the actions the Council is taking to improve energy efficiency in council-owned buildings and how we are supporting nature.
To finish the session, students calculated their own carbon footprints and created pledges, outlining what they would like to do and what the Council should prioritise.
Thank you, Queen's Park Primary School!
