St Helens Council offer a range of educational events and activities. This list is not exhaustive, if you would like to suggest a session for the climate team to deliver, let us know. Please contact the relevant email address to book a visit.

Climate assembly | We can offer an assembly on the Council's Net Zero goals and the impact of climate change on St Helens.

Climate pledges | We provide a lesson exploring how climate change is affecting St Helens Borough, the actions the Council is taking in response and the role your school already plays.

Biodiversity | We deliver an engaging, age-appropriate introduction to biodiversity, exploring its meaning and key functions. Sessions can include optional species ID workshops or bioblitz sessions. We can also highlight how your school supports biodiversity through your climate action plans and provide extra information on activities such as composting, bug hotels, and allotments. If this would benefit your class, please get in touch to arrange a session. Let us know any additions you'd like, and we'll tailor it to your school's needs. | |
General recycling session (educational discussion) | This session educates students on recycling; it includes some recycling games and facts about recycling in St Helens. | |
Food waste action session | We offer a session on the benefits of food waste recycling within St Helens. | |
Recycling vehicle visits | Available during the summer months and subject to recycling crew availability.

Youth Climate Commission | An annual event hosted by St Helens Council. Schools from around the Borough can book on to attend this day event.

Support with eco-groups/ climate change action plans | We can support you in developing your climate change action plans, including recommending additions that align with the Council.
We're also able to work directly with your eco-groups and offer guidance. (Working with the recycling team) |
